Poonam Pandey was born in the city of Kanpur on the 11th of March, 1991. Her mother’s name is Vidya Pandey and her father’s name is Shobnath Pandey. She is a model and has completed her education till 12th standard from Little Flower High School located at Thane, Mumbai.
Married Life of Poonam Pandey:
In her Mumbai home, Poonam Pandey married her boyfriend Sam Bombay on the 1st of September, 2022. The wedding was private and only close friends and family were invited because of the pandemic protocols. However, Just ten days after marriage Poonam Pandey filed a police complaint claiming that Sam threatened and assaulted her. Sam was sentenced to jail but got bail after a few days. Later, It was also said that Poonam had a patchup with her which resulted in people trolling Poonam and many said on social media that the entire incident was fake and pre-planned just to create controversy.

Nasha, The movie which got released in the year 2023 was Poonam’s debut movie. The film’s hoardings were burned down by a few people because they thought the hoardings were inappropriate and could have a bad impact on viewers, especially minors. After Nasha, she also acted in movies like Uvaa and also did a Telugu film named Malini and Co.

Poonam Pandey has faced a lot of controversies in her career. She once said that she would strip her clothes for the Indian cricket team if India won the 2011 but BCCI refused to give her permission. The Indian team won the 2011 Cricket World Cup. Poonam said that because of public objections, she couldn’t do it though, she did stripe her clothes at Wankhede stadium and posted that on her mobile app.
In the year 2017, Poonam Pandey also launched her own app. However, It was soon banned from the Play Store by Google. Presently, Poonam Pandey’s mobile app is only available on her own website.

On the 1st of February, 2023. The manager of Poonam Pandey uploaded a post on her official Instagram account claiming that at the age of 32, she had passed away because of cervical cancer. Many of her fans, friends, and celebrities gave condolences to her after hearing the news. However, Many people in the comment section of her social media account suspected this news to be a fake publicity stunt as there were no reports in the media regarding her illness. She also uploaded a reel on her Instagram just a few days before this news where people don’t notice any signs of her being ill.
On the 2nd of February, The next day it was revealed by Poonam Pandey herself on her Instagram account that she was completely healthy and the news about her death was a fake publicity stunt that was done to raise awareness regarding cervical cancer. However, Just like the recent controversy of Uorfi Javed where she was trolled by the people for getting arrested by police which was later revealed as a fake stunt. Similarly, Viewers also didn’t take this controversy in a good way and she got trolled not only by her fans but also by other celebrities for this fake stunt.
All Indian Cine Workers Association also known as AICWF has said that Poonam has played with the sentiments of people and it is very wrong to do a fake stunt like this for publicity. They also asked Mumbai Police to register an FIR against Poonam and her manager.
It is also said that an FIR has also been filed in the Kanpur Police station along with Rs.100 Crore defamation case by an individual named Faiz Ansari against Poonam Pandey and her husband for making a joke about cancer and conspiring the fake death.
